Abbey Weitzeil claimed the women’s 50m freestyle at the 2021 TYR Pro Series at Mission Viejo in an impressive 24.57. The time was good for fourth best in the world in 2021 and was just under three tenths shy of her personal best. Weitzeil has now finished first or second in each of her last four TYR Pro Swim Series 50m freestyle swims. Kasia Wasick and Beryl Gastaldello finished second and third respectively.
